Twenty five students from among the Dubuque Community Schools volunteered to be part of a gardening project.

The students were divided into two tribes and each maintained their own garden. It was organized as a competition and most students had never gardened before.

There is one important rule: the students must grow the garden organically. Gene Mealhow, owner of K & K Popcorn, will teach them how.
